Job Description

Under direction of the PM Accounting Manager, assists with the overall operations of the PM Accounting financial processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable as well as a wide variety of administrative functions that support the overall operations.

Accounting Coordinator

  • Oversees the daily process of security deposit disbursements and close outs associated with owner's accounts to ensure accuracy and validity.
  • Serves as liaison to field PM staff for a variety of inquiries to include, but not limited to, security deposit disbursement questions, close out vouchers, vacated tenants.
  • Audits invoices, check disbursement, and performs procedures relating to proper vendor payments.
  • Performs special operations like duplicating files for security purposes; prepares credit notes/collection notices, makes adjustments to entries; authorizes non-standard invoices; and cancels/replaces checks.
  • Ensures the validity of a receivable or payable, which includes confirming that an incoming invoice is for services or products rendered before it is deemed payable.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' in Corporate Accounting environment, preferably in residential real estate transactions
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Advanced Excel skills are required)
  • Strong oral and written skills in order to be able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Strong knowledge of accounting, reconciliation, and other financial transactions
