Long & Foster Insurance Agency, Inc. (LFI) is one of the many companies under the Long & Foster Brand. LFI was established over 20 years ago and offers a wide array of insurance coverage's and services. We are a growing agency and were named by the Washington Business Journal as one of the top 25 insurance brokers in the Washington, D.C. region based on premium volume. Long & Foster Insurance is looking for a Customer Service Representative to work in our Corporate Headquarters in Chantilly, VA.

 Under the general direction of the Customer Service Supervisor, the Customer Service Representative is responsible for maintaining and retaining clients per the agency guidelines.  The CSR is also part of a team in regard to the facilitation of new clients.  This includes support to the Insurance Managers.  The CSR is also responsible for ensuring a seamless transition between the new product purchase and further servicing needs.

Essential Functions

  • Inbound and outbound calls through a Call Center system, emails, and correspondences to respond to endorsement/change requests, billing questions, policy reviews, etc.
  • Maintain consistent work product within a timely fashion and meet daily team deadlines
  • Cross sell/Upsell accounts by providing a complete protection review.  A “package for protection” approach should be used.
  • Conduct Proactive annual policy reviews. Inform clients of policy changes, exclusions of coverage, and insurance coverage needs. Use every service contact as opportunity to review and remarket appropriately.
  • Property and Casualty License in State of Virginia required.  Other non-residence licenses as needed.
  • Industry knowledge of product, coverage contracts, and underwriting guidelines preferred
